Starting pitcher Joe Hixson was a major factor in the 8-2 California Bulldogs triumph over the Arizona Vipers. Hixson, the winner, moves to 5-6. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 2 walks. The win puts the Bulldogs at 41-46, while the Vipers drop to 54-33.
