Railroaders Win, 4-2, at New Jersey
|
Pennsylvania Railroaders starter Oscar Gomez was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the New Jersey Athletics, 4-2. The victory makes Pennsylvania 30-58.
Pennsylvania used the timely hitting of Doug Stephenson to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Railroaders ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We had a good game plan," Gomez said, "and we were able to execute it."
