Empire Lose to Knights in Walk Off

Both teams had their chances, but the Ohio Knights eventually prevailed.
The Ohio Knights wiggled past the New York Empire, 2-1, at Huntington Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Ohio pitcher Aaron Vander Wal. Ohio reliever Aaron Vander Wal got the win, raising his record to 5-3. Pat Delaney was tagged with the loss.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the 17th, an error by the Empire allowed the Knights to score the winning run.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant , the Ohio manager.
With the win, the Knights have a record of 46-43.
