Danger Absorb 4-1 Home Loss
|
The Texas Outlaws trumped the New Mexico Danger, 4-1, at The Danger Zone. Texas third baseman Terry Updike was terrific. He went 3 for 3 with a home run and a double. Byron Stevenson, now 3-1, was credited with the win in 3 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Russ Watson got credit for the save for Texas. It was his 22nd of the year.
Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at The Danger Zone seemed to enjoy watching the Frontier League action.
Updike called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
Texas now has a record of 47-43 with the win.
