Aviators Win, Now 51-43
|
North Carolina right fielder Maresuke Kosaka contributed to his team's 5-4 win over the Georgia Titans. Kosaka, who finished 2nd in the PL in slugging percentage with .516 in 2066, went 3 for 5 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Aviators. North Carolina reliever Don Floyd picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Kevin McLaughlin took the loss. Chad Kretz collected his 9th save.
Kosaka had a game-changing double in the top of the seventh. On a 2-0 fastball from Kevin McLaughlin, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Aviators a 5-4 lead. It was the 20th double of the year for Kosaka.
"We did enough to win," said Kosaka.
The win lifted the North Carolina record to 51-43.
