Breazile on Fire: 5-for-5 for Oregon
|
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Kevin Breazile -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at The Boom Box, but the performance lost a little luster when the Explorers were downed, 4-2, by the Washington Resonance.
After his glittering performance, the Oregon first baseman told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat."
His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book.
"I just wish we had added a win in the record book, too," Breazile said.
Kevin Breazile singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
At the moment, Breazile is batting .310 with 17 home runs and 62 RBIs. He has played in 93 games and scored 62 times.
