Lions Deal Yellowhammers 5-4 Loss
The Kentucky Lions topped the Alabama Yellowhammers, 5-4, in Patriot League action at Madison County Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Kentucky pitcher and Caracas, Venezuela, native Judite Aldeinha. The win belongs to Kane Finzer in relief. His record improves to 6-3. Nelson Padilla took the loss for Alabama. Alex Gaitan was credited with the save, his 1st in 1 tries.

Kentucky needed the clutch hitting of Chris Bermudez to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Lions on top, 5-3. For the game, Bermudez had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Kentucky manager . "It's usually not just one thing."
