Texas designated hitter Lee Choate picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the California Bulldogs, 7-6. Josh Bang picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-6 on the season. He struck out 2 and walked 1 in 5 innings, while yielding 3 runs. With the win, Texas goes to 61-46, while the Bulldogs fall to 53-54.

With Texas leading 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Choate hit a curveball from Josh Wright for a 3-run home run. It was his 30th home run of the season and put the Outlaws ahead, 6-2.
