Minnesota Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
Minnesota got a decent performance from pitcher Jerry Estevez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Oregon Explorers. Oregon won the Dylan Park at Hennepin contest, 5-4. Estevez threw 5.0 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Justin Pinkston, credited with the save, is now 29 for 32 in save opportunities. The slumping Mallards have dropped 6 in a row.

Oregon used a well-timed hit by Alan Taylor to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Explorers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We've hit a lull," said Minnesota manager Jason Dettbarn.
