Blue Pirates Rally to Win, 9-8
Despite a great performance by Alabama first baseman Dave Gonzalez, the Ontario Blue Pirates defeated the Yellowhammers by the score of 9-8 at Madison County Grounds. Gonzalez was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Ontario bumps their record to 54-57 with the win.

Brad Shaffer came through with a big-time hit for Ontario. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 9-8. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Shaffer.
