The Ohio Knights got a magnificent performance from pitcher Dave Utley, who stifled the Maryland offense en route to a 3-1 Knights win at Huntington Park. Ohio reliever Warren Luddy picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Ricky Garcia took the loss. The save went to Tim Allen, number 2 for him.
Hiromitsu Hashimoto had a nice at-bat for the Knights with no one out in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 2nd, the second baseman hit a run-scoring triple, which would prove important in the Ohio win.
Utley told the Ohio Daily News: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
The Knights go to 55-74, putting them last in the Patriot League South.
