Resonance Shut Out Titans, 3-0
|
Washington used a superb performance from starting pitcher Mike Aviles to down the Georgia Titans, 3-0. Masanori Hayashi collected save number 36. Washington bumps their record to 66-67 with the win.
The Resonance got a big at-bat from left fielder Gerald Merz. For the game, Merz was 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 21st double of the season gave Washington a 2-0 lead.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Aviles.
