MacBeth Helps Yellowhammers Win, 10-1, with Pair of Homers
Yellowhammers right fielder Don MacBeth left his mark on his team's 10-1 win over the Kentucky Lions. MacBeth, who is tied for 9th in the PL in hits with 154, slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for Alabama in the contest. Ronman Tierney was the winner. He's now 8-8. The loser was fireballing right-hander Kane Finzer. With the win, Alabama has a record of 53-83. Kentucky falls to 81-55.

The Yellowhammers got a big hit from designated hitter Pablo Colunga. Facing Kentucky pitcher Alejandro Pacheco in the top of the seventh, Colunga pounded a grand slam home run to left. His 16th home run of the season put the Yellowhammers ahead, 8-0.

"We put the pedal to the metal," said Colunga.
