Railroaders Rally Late to Nip Athletics
|
The Pennsylvania Railroaders turned back the New Jersey Athletics, 4-3, at Johnson & Johnson Field. Jeff Braswell, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. Their 71-67 record puts the Railroaders second in the Patriot League North.
Had Braswell not come through in the top of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Braswell drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Railroaders took the lead, 4-3, and never looked back.
"This was a good win," said Braswell.
