Homer #300 for Minnesota's Alvarado
Swinging his way into the record books, Tom Alvarado reached the 300 homer mark today at Dylan Park at Hennepin against the Texas Outlaws. He went 1-for-4 with 4 RBI and 1 run on the day, although Minnesota would go down to defeat 12-7.

"It was a distraction," Alvarado said of his 300th home run. "I'm happy it's over. I just wish I'd been able to make a difference in the outcome today."

Alvarado is batting .269 with 1669 career base hits, including 355 doubles, 21 triples and 300 home runs with 933 RBIs and 831 runs scored. He has played in 1721 games, stolen 13 bases and compiled a .332 OBP.
