|
New Jersey right-hander Glen Duncan helped his team edge New York by the score of 3-2. Duncan kept the opposing lineup in check. In 6.2 innings, Duncan surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 4. He allowed 2 runs. Marty Hoover got the save, his 1st in 2 chances.
Jesús Hernández, the 38-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hernández contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put New Jersey up, 3-0.
