Stone Sensational for Vipers
|
The Arizona Vipers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Nathan Stone, who stifled the Illinois offense en route to a 3-0 Vipers win at Todd Berry Memorial Field. The winning streak has now reached 12 games for Arizona.
Stone gave Arizona a solid start. The left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8 innings.
"Nathan was able to execute his pitches," said Arizona manager Alex Cumana. "Simple as that."
