Empire Come Up Short at Pennsylvania, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Pennsylvania Railroaders and the New York Empire, pitcher Harry Paul was the difference between victory and defeat. The Pennsylvania right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Railroaders win. David Litz picked up the save for Pennsylvania, his 2nd of the year. The win has Pennsylvania at 63-95.
Robbie Fox dealt the Empire a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with a runner on 3rd and Pennsylvania leading 2-0, Fox, who is tied for 9th in the PL in stolen bases with 45, hit a 2-2 sinker for a run-scoring single.
"Winning is always a team effort," Fox said after the game.
