Valdéz's Treatment Not Going Well, Suffers Setback Wednesday, October 13th , 2066
Yesterday Oregon shortstop José Valdéz sustained a setback in his recovery from a strained hip muscle. The Explorers medical staff told him it would be at least 3 weeks before he will be able to return to action. Valdéz told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Valdéz worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal.
This season Valdéz has 3 home runs and a .177 batting average.
