Oregon RP Matt Lang Injured
Sunday, October 17th , 2066
The Oregon Explorers learned that Matt Lang is likely to be out for 6 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Washington Resonance. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a forearm strain. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Oregon manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Matt is back in action."

This season Lang has chalked up no saves, notched a 5-1 record with a 3.39 ERA, allowed 52 hits in his 66.1 innings of work, struck out 90 and walked 19. Opponents are hitting .213 against the Oregon hurler.
