Bears Ramirez and Bulldogs Hixson Suspended for Fight Thursday, April 11th , 2069 Yesterday at Meta Park at the Dog House Ramon Ramirez and Joe Hixson got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the Colorado Bears and California Bulldogs. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Ramirez will have to sit out 2 while Hixson would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. Ramirez is batting .312 this year with 1 home run, 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 5 hits in 16 at-bats. |
