Vazquez Smacks 3 Out of the Park Saturday, May 4th , 2069 It was a good day for the New Mexico Danger and an exceptional one for Victor Vazquez. The 23-year-old left fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Danger beat the Illinois Warhawks, 6-2, at The Danger Zone. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Vazquez said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 4 times, drove in 3 runs and smacked 4 hits in 4 at-bats. Victor Vazquez singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Wilbert Lockhart in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jesse Hohe in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Adam Jennings in the 8th. This season, Vazquez has hit at a .303 clip and produced 11 runs batted in, 4 home runs and 15 runs. |
