Hits Galore: Weber Drills 5 Hits
Sunday, May 12th , 2069
There was no storybook ending. Jonathan Weber of the North Carolina Aviators socked it to the visiting Georgia Titans with a terrific 5-hit game, but his team didn't get the win. The Aviators fell, 12-9, at Lowe's Field at Bojangles' Stadium.
"I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here," Weber complained following the loss. "When you have a great game you should win the game, too."
He definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. North Carolina manager Rob Chapman sympathized with his left fielder, telling BNN reporters after the game that "Jonathan played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough."
Jonathan Weber singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
Weber is hitting .326 in 2069 with 17 RBIs and 8 home runs.
