Athletics Prevail, as League Championship Series Goes to the Wire Friday, October 26th , 2046 With a narrow 4-3 series win, the New Jersey Athletics have eliminated the North Carolina Aviators and are League Championship Series winners. "We tried not to look ahead to the Federation Cup Series, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said center fielder Kai Metson, who was named series MVP. New Jersey won the final game by a score of 5-2, wrapping it up at Lowe's Field at Bojangles' Stadium. Metson's big series saw him hit .320 with a .414 on-base percentage.
