Twin Towers End Hines's Streak
Monday, July 1st , 2047
The New York Twin Towers pitching staff did its job today, holding hot-hitting Dave Hines hitless in 4 at-bats during the club's 8-0 victory over the New Jersey Athletics at New Hilltop Park. The disappointing performance ended a 21-game hitting streak for the right fielder.
"I'm a little down right now," Hines said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too."
So far this year Hines is batting .301 with 12 home runs.
