League Punishes Pair for Fighting Tuesday, June 23rd , 2048 After an intense confrontation, both the Twin Towers José Gil and the Vipers Miguel Angel Aquino were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent New York-Indiana game. José Gil will miss 4 games, while Miguel Angel Aquino was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," José Gil commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." In this current campaign Gil is hitting at a .314 clip with 4 home runs and 24 RBIs. On the year Aquino has worked 76.1 innings with 52 strikeouts en route to a 6-3 record and 4.72 ERA. |
