Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Lahoda Thursday, July 9th , 2048 Ken Lahoda, third baseman for the Idaho Steelheads, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 39 games with 1 hit in his club's 8-3 victory today over the Illinois Warhawks at Todd Berry Memorial Field today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Ken Lahoda singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and grounded out in the 8th. In the current season, Lahoda has put up a .361 batting average with 137 hits, 12 home runs, 48 runs batted in and scored 63 runs. |
