Calhoun Honored by First Ballot Selection to AFBL Hall of Fame
Monday, November 15th , 2049
Thousands of fans braved the wind to watch and cheer as baseball's latest legend, Ken Calhoun, was inducted into the American Federation Baseball League Hall of Fame today. With his 397 home runs, 2204 hits and lifetime .269 batting average, everyone knew the gifted center fielder belonged with the immortals of the game. Still, Calhoun remained humble.

"I'm a very lucky person to be born with the skill to play baseball and through baseball I built a name for myself," said Calhoun. Now his career as a baseball player is complete. "This seals it," he said. "To get the recognition that every ballplayer seeks -- this is completion for me."

Calhoun retired at 40 in 2038. He was inducted as a member of the New Jersey Athletics, earning votes from 0.0% of eligible voters. In his epic career he played in 2103 games and finished with 1270 RBIs and 1173 runs scored.
