Shelton Tosses Shutout for Alabama Sunday, April 10th , 2050 The Alabama Yellowhammers did little to support starter Lonnie Shelton against the Ohio Knights, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The left-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Knights, striking out 6 and surrendering 5 hits. The performance from Shelton allowed Alabama to escape with the 2-0 win despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said 'Lonnie, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Shelton told BNN reporters following the win.
