Silva's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games

Tony Silva has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 26-year-old California Bulldogs left fielder extended his streak today to 20 games, going 3-for-6 as California got the best of the Alabama Yellowhammers at Madison County Grounds, 11-4.

"Tony has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Bulldogs manager John Heinz said.
Tony Silva singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

A look at his current stats shows Silva with a .314 average, 5 home runs, 26 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has played in 55 games.
