Hit Streak Now at 20 for Broadberry Wednesday, June 22nd , 2050 Ontario first baseman Jonathan Broadberry keeps on racking up hits every time he plays. His hitting streak now stands at 20 games after collecting 1 hit at Farmers Market Stadium today. The Blue Pirates took the 8-4 victory over the Texas Spurs. "I have been seeing the ball really good the last few weeks, but I am a bit surprised how things are working out," Broadberry said. "I've gotten a couple flares to drop in, so I've also been a little lucky." Jonathan Broadberry singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and was hit by a pitch in the 8th. Broadberry is batting .363 this year with 4 home runs, 29 RBIs and 53 runs scored. He has 107 hits in 295 at-bats. |
