Hit Streak Over, Pride Stop Serrano
Friday, July 10th , 2065
Trenton second baseman Danny Serrano experienced something against the Cincinnati Pride he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game.
The Pride pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 23 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Owls to a 5-3 victory at Cincinnati Ballpark.
"Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 23-game hitting streak," Serrano joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories."
This season Serrano has hit at a .311 clip with 38 RBIs, 7 home runs and 22 runs scored.
