No Late-Season Magic Coming: Montgomery Out of Playoffs Tuesday, September 8th , 2065 The dream of lifting a championship banner above the home field of the Montgomery Kings has been extinguished, at least for 2065. The club was formally eliminated from playoff contention today. Asked to comment on the news, Kings manager issued a one-word statement, which cannot be printed by BNN. Montgomery last appeared in the postseason in 2058. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 38 times in their 53-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Kings have missed the playoffs 6 times. Montgomery last won the Union Cup in 2055. |
