Hargett Blasts 3 out of the Park Thursday, July 25th , 2069 Dave Hargett was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 13-6 Trenton Owls triumph at Trenton Ballpark. The 23-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Owls past the Montgomery Kings. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Hargett told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The left fielder went 4-for-4, rung up 9 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Dave Hargett hit a two-run home run off Michael Bouey in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Ryan Buck in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Stephen Gifford in the 7th. In 90 games this season, Hargett is batting .307 with 96 hits and 25 home runs. He has scored 67 runs and driven in 80. |
