Big Bang! 3 HR for Savannah's Kerry
Sunday, September 1st , 2069
It was a good day for the Savannah Storm and an exceptional one for Gregg Kerry. The 21-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Storm beat the Cooperstown Greats, 4-2, at Field of Dreams.
"When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Kerry said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day."
For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 3 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats.
Gregg Kerry hit a solo-shot off Brian Grassi in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Johnny Kaiser in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Johnny Kaiser in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
This year, Kerry is batting .284 with 13 home runs and 23 RBIs.
