3 Roundtrippers for Bormann
Tuesday, August 19th , 2070
Montgomery Kings second baseman Matt Bormann put on a dazzling display of power at Kings Palace against the Paducah Tigers. In the 12-3 Kings victory, Bormann penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Paducah manager said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."

Along with his three home runs, the 21-year-old had 3 hits in 3 at-bats, 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Bormann said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."

Matt Bormann hit a solo-shot off Emilio Ramirez in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jaime Eggers in the 4th and hit a solo-shot off Jaime Eggers in the 6th.

Bormann is currently hitting at a .264 pace with 14 home runs, 37 RBIs and has scored 40 times.
