Plunkard 5-for-6 for Grand Junction Friday, July 31st , 2065 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Aaron Plunkard is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the St. Cloud Water Wolves at Water Wolves Park today. The monster effort from the 20-year-old right fielder helped the Grand Junction Lumberjacks take the win, 17-0. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Water Wolves manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Aaron Plunkard doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Shigem Maekawa in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th.
