Wright Goes on Rampage Against Beavers Tuesday, August 25th , 2065 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Mike Wright, it came around today. The 24-year-old first baseman scattered hits all over Cadiz Grounds to pace the Cadiz Bat Hogs to a 10-3 victory over the Bend Beavers. Bend skipper told reporters in the press room that "Wright deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Wright hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Mike Wright hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 7th. This year Wright is batting .266 with 17 home runs.
