No Playoff Berth Coming for Erie Monday, August 31st , 2065 The playoff hopes of the Erie Brigs -- which were already faint at best -- are now completely extinguished. The team will miss the playoffs this year, being mathematically eliminated from contention today. Erie last appeared in the postseason in 2063. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 26 times in their 53-year history.
