Soto and Alonso Suspended for Free-for-All Thursday, September 3rd , 2065 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Grand Junction-Spokane contest at Lumberjacks Ballpark. The Lumberjacks Ed Soto and the Indians Lorenzo Alonso will have to sit out 5 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. In 9 games this season Soto has compiled a .303 batting average with 10 hits and 2 home runs. He has also scored 6 times and knocked in 8 runs. This season, Alonso has fashioned a 5-10 mark and 4.64 ERA in 132 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .268 against him and he has logged 121 strikeouts. |
