Bad Apples Heading to League Championship Series Sunday, September 20th , 2065 It's a sweet sweep for the Carlsbad Bad Apples and they have won the Wildcard Series. The Bend Beavers were not able to keep pace with the Bad Apples and dropped the series in short order, losing 11-7 in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Bend manager . It's now on to the League Championship Series for Carlsbad after their 3-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was first baseman Chad Johnson, who was named MVP. For the series, Johnson hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Carlsbad Bad Apples will play against the Austin Rattlesnakes in the next round. Austin had a bye in the Wildcard Series.
