League Issues 4-Game Suspensions for Brawl Wednesday, July 24th , 2069 Bend's Jesus Rangel and Caseyville's Jake McTavish have been handed 4-game suspensions for their parts in yesterday's upheaval at Beavers Field. The teams were notified today that the suspensions would go into effect immediately. According to the league commissioner Rangel and McTavish provoked and incited the brawl and bore the blame for what transpired. So far this season, Rangel is hitting .294 with 2 home runs, 27 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He has 69 hits in 235 at-bats and a .390 OBP. Thus far this season, McTavish has registered 40 relief appearances, worked 44.2 innings, struck out 47 and issued 17 walks. He has 30 saves with a 1.41 ERA and a 2-1 won-lost mark. |
