Landeros Rockets 3 HR Against St. Cloud Sunday, August 11th , 2069 Sometimes it just isn't enough. Diego Landeros had an outstanding day at Cadiz Grounds for the Cadiz Bat Hogs, ripping three home runs. Nonetheless, the Bat Hogs fell to the St. Cloud Water Wolves, 14-11. Landeros had a feast at the plate, pounding everything thrown his way. The 24-year-old catcher banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 4 times and batted in 5 runs. Despite his sensational performance, the Bat Hogs were not able to hold off the Water Wolves. "Baseball is a funny game," Landeros said in the post-game interview, "You can't dwell on the reasons for the loss. I'm sure there will be days when I go 0-for-4 and we win. These things tend to even out." Diego Landeros hit a two-run home run off Travis Thorsen in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Travis Thorsen in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Angelo Silva in the 8th. This year, Landeros is hitting .355 with 18 home runs and 64 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .416 clip and scored 46 runs. |
