DeShazer Selected AC's Best Player Thursday, June 4th , 2065 He may have less experience than most of his College League peers, but that didn't slow Erik DeShazer down at all in 2065. At the age of 20, the San Luis Obispo College right fielder has been named the winner of the American Conference Outstanding Hitter Award. He had a .300 batting average and a .443 on-base percentage this year. In 59 games he piled up 61 hits, 12 doubles, 1 triple, 27 home runs, 58 RBIs and 49 runs scored. "I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year." He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 20. Hector Vargas of the O'Hara Township College All-Stars finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Craig Nix of the El Paso College Missiles finished third.
