20 Games in a Row for Rosario
Tuesday, March 19th , 2069
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.
Jimmy Rosario did it again, bashing 3 hits in the contest at Browns Ballpark. For the last 20 games in a row, the 20-year-old catcher has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Glendale College Browns beat the Omaha College Canaries, 13-11.
"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Rosario told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Glendale College clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Jimmy Rosario hit a solo-shot off Bobby Backus in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run double in the 7th.
This season, Rosario is hitting .368 with 8 home runs.
