Rosario Hitless, Streak Ends at 22
Saturday, March 23rd , 2069
Jimmy Rosario, catcher for the Glendale College Browns, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Rochester College Swans. Not only did the Swans break his 22-game hitting streak, they also beat Glendale College by the score of 11-1.
"Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Rosario said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."
Looking at his stats this year, Rosario has compiled a .352 batting average, while hitting 8 home runs and driving in 30 runs. He has played in 28 games and scored 16 runs.
