League Suspends Muniz and Dillman for Fisticuffs Sunday, April 7th , 2069 If there wasn't a history between Paul Muniz of Gatineau College and Jim Dillman of Laval College, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 8 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Muniz said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." In 47 games this season, Muniz is batting .266 with 41 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 25 runs and driven in 32. This season, he has made 13 relief appearances, collecting 1 save. Dillman has worked 25 innings, yielding 30 hits and giving out 19 free passes while striking out 26. He has a 2-3 record with a 9.72 ERA. |
