Rosario Belts 3 HR for Browns Friday, April 19th , 2069 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the El Paso College Missiles. Glendale College catcher Jimmy Rosario tripled up on the home runs to propel the Browns to a win, 12-2, at Browns Ballpark. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," El Paso College manager said. "Rosario hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Rosario collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Jimmy Rosario flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Kenny Younce in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Ronnie Andrews in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ronnie Andrews in the 6th and walked in the 7th. This season, Rosario is batting .301 with 55 hits, 15 home runs, 46 RBIs, 21 walks, .373 OBP and has scored 28 runs. He has played in 46 games. |
