Playoffs Won't Happen for Bombers Friday, April 24th , 2065 Members of the Lackland AFB HS Bombers sat in stunned silence in their clubhouse, adjusting to the knowledge that they had lost their chance for a playoff berth this year. "We really thought we had the team to get into the playoffs," said starting pitcher Chris Sorenson. The Bombers have missed the playoffs 31 times in their 49 years as a High School League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2060. In the last 10 seasons, the Bombers have made the playoffs 5 times. |
