Brodhead Makes Record Book, Slams 4 HR
Monday, April 1st , 2069
Hitting a single home run is a tough task. Hitting two in a game is impressive. Hitting three is remarkable. Anything beyond that is borderline unbelievable -- yet that's what Jason Brodhead did today in the 13-6 Long Beach HS Terriers victory over the Dallas HS Hammerheads.
Brodhead went 4-for-4 with 4 home runs and drove in 8 runs in a once-in-a-lifetime feat that the opposing manager later labeled "impossible."
"I don't believe it really happened," Hammerheads manager joked to BNN reporters afterward. "I don't ever enjoy losing a game, but this kid was special today. I have never seen a guy hit 4 in a game before. I didn't enjoy it, but it was special."
Jason Brodhead hit a solo-shot off John Swindle in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Beck in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Josh Tully in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Ricardo Salgado in the 8th.
So far this year, Brodhead has 11 home runs and a .415 batting average.
